Fence and Barn

This image “Fence and Barn” has been on my radar since my daughter started college at Millersville this past fall. I normally rush by on the way to her school just looking out the car window at this scene. Well I finally decided I was going to stop and try to put something together. I must admit, it was more of a challenge than I had originally thought. It had wires running everywhere and ton’s of other distracting things around it. I wanted a nice clean image and here are the results…

Vintage Lane

Yesterday morning in the snowstorm I made a trek up to Morgantown to visit the Verizon store to score one of the new Blackberry Storm (kind of fitting title). Of course the stores only received a small amount and naturally I arrived too late. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my ride and stopped along the way making images (probably why I was late). The effects for this image (Silver Effect Pro, Vintage Photo) were inspired by friend and photographer Russ Devan who has an awesome blog you should certainly check out!

First Snowfall

Well, I would like to welcome our first official snow for this season! This image is from one of my favorite spots on the Octoraro Creek. BetterPhoto - DELMARPA Club Outing

Doorway

Hello Everyone,

This morning I made a trip to Winterthur to photograph the colors of the Japanese maple trees. According to Winterthur’s blog yesterday the colors were amazing. However when I arrived this morning the majority of the leaves were already down and shriveled up! What a bust. Photography has a lot to do with being in the right place at the right time, needless to say, I was late. Anyway, there are tons of other things to shoot and here’s one of my favorite doors there… I applied a buzz filter to add the painterly effects.

Hello Everyone,

Saturday I scooted over to Longwood to make a few macro images. It has been a while since I focused my lens on some smaller subjects and surprisingly it felt really good. This image was made with my Tamron 90mm macro lens and I’m extremely pleased with the sharpness of this lens!
