Moshulu

Steve Fredrick and I spent Friday morning at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia shooting some of the waterfront attractions. We had a great time and I came home with some nice images but this is one of my favorites! This tall ship has been turned into a deck bar / restaurant. So, looking for a little ambiance, look no farther!

Philadelphia Flower Show

I finally got around to processing a few of my images from the 2009 Philadelphia Flower Show. This year’s theme was Bella Italia” and I must admit it certainly had an old world feel to it! I processed this image using the Topaz Simplify filter which I really felt was fitting.

Topaz Simplify to the Rescue

No matter how nice your composition is, if the light doesn’t cooperate your image will fall flat, (literally). I’ve been eyeing this shot for quite a while but I never seem to be here when the light is the best. Sometimes with a little help from our software friends, we can make the best of a so so image. In this image, I applied the Topaz Simplify filter to add a painterly effect. I really like the look of this filter but it is truly addicting!

Tiffen Dfx Software to the Rescue

Greetings friends,

Over the weekend a great group of friends got together to shoot the sunrise at Chambers Lake just outside of Coatesville. We had a very, how should I say this, boring sunrise! Don’t get me wrong the potential for a great image was there we just needed a little light to help things out. I liked my image but it was in desperate need of something. I add a split color grad using the Tiffen Dxf software to the image introducing a bit of coral color which made the image. Trust me, without the software I didn’t have an image I was willing to share.

2009 Photographic Invitational Show

Greetings friends and colleagues,
