Methodist Church in the Cove

I had seen a great fall image of this Methodist Church nestled in Cade Cove on a poster in the visitor’s center and wondered where the vantage point was located. So, after a little detective work I found the location. It was high on top of a one-way road leading out of the park towards Townsend. I processed this image with Nik’s Color Effects Pro and the Polaroid Transfer filter.

Cades Cove Storm

Sorry, for such a delay in blogging but my workshop season has started and I am getting pretty busy! I’m not complaining as we all know that busy is good!
This image of an approaching storm was shot in Cades Cove during my workshop at the Great Smoky Mountains. I will be adding a few more images from the workshop as time permits so stay tuned!

Smokies or Bust

Okay, this coming week should be an exciting week. I' heading out tomorrow for a week-long photography workshop in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Keep your fingers crossed for nice light!

Washington Monument Colors

This image was shot about 10 minutes after sunset. There’s a small window of time when you can capture these colors in the sky!

Brooms

This image of the brooms is a favorite of mine from the sale this weekend. Something I also do when I’m out shooting is to look for elements of design. I love the repetition and patterns these brooms create!
