Greeting and welcome to my Wacom update. For the past several years, I’ve been using a Microsoft ergonomic mouse that truthfully looks more like a tennis ball than a mouse and I absolutely love it. I have the tracking cranked up so I don’t have to move it very far to cover a lot of ground on the screen. The Wacom is totally opposite, each corner of the tablet represents the corner of your monitor. I wanted to see if the Wacom will be more productive in my editing so I bought an Intuos 4 medium. That seemed to be a happy medium between the small and large. I didn’t want an extra-large due to my desk constraints. Therefore, for me coming from a “cracked up mouse” to a Wacom Tablet seemed like a lot of hand movement. After two days (I know it takes longer to get used to it than that) of using the tablet, I decided it was entirely too much movement. So, I returned the medium and thought I would give the small a try. I’ve had the small tablet now for a day and a half and I’m much happier with it! Much less, hand movement and it seems to do everything the medium did. In fact, I’m actually excited about editing images so I can give it more of a workout. I’m going to trust my friend Ken Hubbard when he tells me to stick with it, you’ll love it...
Stay tuned I’ll be posting updates to my progress...

Springton Manor
I wanted to get over to Springton Manor before all of the leaves were down from the rain, so this afternoon I made a quick trip. I have to admit we are certainly having our share of rain.... Having a nice overcast day really works for popping the colors and softening the water. Here I added Nik’s Glamour Glow to add a little mood and as always, it did an incredible job!

Mystic Seaport

Here are a few images from my visit to Mystic Harbor. My son Zach and I strolled around Mystic looking for cool harbor shots. The light was pretty flat but I do like the buzz look that Topaz Simplify gives.
