Wolf’s Hollow

Good Morning,
Last week we were blessed with another beautiful snow, and this one was a big one. In fact, big enough to get out the snowshoes and have a little fun. I have enjoyed winter (cold and snow) as long as I can remember.  Seriously, having the right outdoor clothing and equipment makes all the difference in the world!

When we arrived at Wolf’s Hollow the gates were open and a large tractor of some sort had driven down the lane but nothing was plowed. It was kind of cool because it gave me an opportunity to tryout my new FJ in snow.

As with all of my images I used
Nik's Software to process this image! If you are interested in saving yourself a few $$$ on Nik's Software please make sure you use my discount code: "EHEATON"

Snowy Pines–Pano

Hello Everyone,
Hopefully everyone has dug out from the snow that was dumped on us last night. I personally like it and the more snow we get the better. This morning I was out and about before sunrise trying to get a few images that I had pre-visualized last night. I saw that the snow was sticking to the trees nicely so shooting a few tree / panos was the ticket today! Here are a few from the first hour of the morning ;~)

Wow, this weekend has flown by…  I hope you all had a chance to do something fun!

I visited Rickett’s Glen this weekend but haven't had a chance to process any of my images. So here’s one from Rock Run in Maryland that I made last week! It's a 5 image HDR that I cooked pretty hard...  I liked the edgy look of this one!!!

Poole’s Covered Bridge

Happy Sunday Morning,
My friend Art Drescher told me about a covered bridge that was decorated with Christmas lights. So last week Kelly and I paid a visit to Poole’s Covered Bridge. It was a neat little area and several cool stone buildings on the property. Thankfully one of the Amish ladies that was walking by told us the lights hadn't been working this year. I’m glad she told us because we were waiting patiently for them to come on… I guess we would have been waiting for quite a while.  Winking smile

Rock Run

Hello Everyone,
Well It’s a nice snowy day here in Southeastern PA and I have to be honest I truly enjoy the snow. I know that many of you don’t but for a photographer it’s actually inspiring. For one thing it gives a totally different look for the same old subject and two it hides a multitude of sins. When I say this I am referring to cleaning up a composition by covering up sticks and branches. It can also emphasis them, making them a stronger element in your scene.

As with all of my images I used
Nik's Software to process this image! If you are interested in saving yourself a few $$$ on Nik's Software please make sure you use my discount code: "EHEATON"
